The food is overpriced for what you get. We started out at the bar. Service was great. Drinks were expensive. Once we were seated they brought us bread and a small relish plate. It doesn't look anything like the relish plate on the website but it was very good and plenty for us (carrots, celery, radishes, pickles, and a green onion). We both ordered a cup of French onion soup. It was expensive for the amount you get and the cheese was a bit burned. Gruyere and Swiss get bitter if burned. The soup was very good though. My husband got a bay leaf in his. This should always be removed before serving. For our entree, we both ordered the prime rib for $37.00 and it was served with creamy mashed potatoes and a meaty prime rib bone. The rib bone tasted as if all the flavor had been boiled out of it. It would have been better seasoned and slow roasted. The mashed potatoes were very creamy and tasty. The prime rib was just okay. I've had better for a lower price. We enjoyed the ambience of Joey's and the service was excellent. Our waitress, Kim, was very attentive.
