A fun place for the whole family. You can take a self-guided tour with your own vehicle or take one of several guided tours. Be sure to get a cup of animal feed when you purchase your tickets as some of the animals will take food directly from your hands (which is obviously discouraged). The giraffes, in particular are often interested in the food. A cafe, petting zoo, restrooms and very nice gift shop stop is located at the halfway point in the drive. The Wildlife Center can get very busy, especially on holidays, so it's best to arrive as close to opening time (8:30 AM) as possible. The drive takes a good two hours, longer if you take lots of pictures or spend time at the gift shop area. The latest you can start the drive is at 3:29 PM and the center closes at 5:30 PM. This is an absolutely awesome place for kids! One word of warning...ostriches are real jerks. DO NOT LET KIDS HAND FEED THE JERKY OSTRICHES! Apparently little people fingers (and adult fingers) look an awful lot like the animal feed and the ostriches will nibble them quite aggressively.
