Christine Rodriguez Review of Teatown Lake Reservation
You might be tempted to think this is just a path ...
You might be tempted to think this is just a path around a beautiful Lake. I was! It wasn't until a friend told me that there was also animals and a sweet visiting center that I realized I'd only touched the surface of this place. I came back and learned they had multiple animals in the welcome center as well as a birds of prey exhibit. Owls, Red Tailed Halks, Eagle, a talking Crow and many others. There are multiple trails, not just the one around the Lake. And if you come during a weekday there's no charge for parking (otherwise it's $5). This place is beautiful and alive with nature. I made the mistake of wearing open toed sandles, next time I will wear real shoes! I also spotted a fairly large black snake, so if they make you nervous perhaps be mindful of wear you step. This place is amazing and I will be going back to see the birds and hike the trails.
