Review of Town East Ford

This was the worst car buying experience of my lif...

This was the worst car buying experience of my life. I found a dodge ram 1500 on autotrader for what I thought was a good price. I drove 3 hours from Shreveport to look at the truck. The salesman saw this as I was a motivated buyer so he tried to have his way with me basically. The price was actually $1600 more that what was on autotrader. When I asked about this, he said it was in the fine print. I kid you not. When I tried to negotiate, the sales staff would not budge at all. I had a 2006 ford f150 that was paid off and they would only give me $2500 for it. The kelly blue book was $8000. When I didnt budge, they sent the muscle bound sales manager to come in and try to intimidate me. He was extremely rude and is one of the sleeziest individuals I have ever encountered. Needless to say, I was a motivated buyer and I ended up buying the truck to my regret. When I arrived home back in shreveport 3 hours later, the power door locks broke while I was showing it to my wife. I had purchased a warranty which was another monumental mistake because it does not cover anything. Town East refused to pay to fix it. The truck was also missing a jack kit. Town East promised to supply one but 4 weeks later they had yet to act. I had to contact the better business bureau and file a complaint. Only then did they supply me with a jack kit. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE! If thats how they run their used sales department, then I wouldnt recommend dealing with these people at all. THEY ARE SCOUNDRELS!!!! This has been one of the biggest regrets of my life.
