Review of Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom

I have a season pass and this year the park has gone completely down the drain. Kentucky Kingdom has always been a mess but this year everything is just awful. We called to get hours of a restaurant and the person at guest services didn t know what the hours were but just assumed it was open rather than asking someone if it was. Turns out the restaurant is only open on the weekends. When we got to the water park I saw that there was a bird that everyone was petting and just assumed that it was part of the bird show. I went up and asked the guy if it was and he told me that they had rescued it from drowning. That s completely awesome that they did that! Where it really made me mad was that the guy was younger and seemed to be keeping the bird on top of the water cooler in order to get attention from people. This completely infuriated me. I am studying biology and focusing on animals. I told the guy that birds can carry many diseases and it s not best if people pet it. That bird was in shock already but he allowed people to crowd around it and pet it. This just adds to that bird s stress. I m not very sure why he didn t contact the avian team that is there with the bird show. It was all handled very poorly. Next year I will NOT be buying a season pass even though we have bought one every year since it has opened back up. My brother that is obsessed with Kentucky Kingdom was really disappointed with how the staff treated the guest and how unsanitary it was. Kentucky Kingdom should really work hard at training staff well and making sure that they are hiring the right people for the right positions.
