Read all the way through! Don't stop with a Google review! I went to the emergency room on 3/2/2021 at Abbott Northwestern for an allergic reaction to the first vaccine. Apparently, on 4/2/2021, they sent my bill to collections, because I got a call this morning from the collections company. I called Emergency Care Consultants, because I could not imagine how they could do that to me, send a bill that they only just issued to me on to collections, especially during a pandemic! I was confused and distraught, as I have never had any bill sent to collections. Emergency Care Consultants said that they sent their bill to my address and received notice that my address was in error. So I asked them to read my address to me. It was the right address and the one that I have had for a decade without any problems in TEN years. Funny how the collections agency used that SAME address and did not have a problem, just as no one else has ever had a problem sending me mail (i.e. this seems fishy). Regardless, Emergency Consultants never once called even to verify my address, so their "explanation" does not hold water, especially because other people's complaints state that this business at least attempted to contact them. **This company has A LOT of complaints, so please, take your complain to the Minnesota state attorney general's office (there is a complaint form on their web site).** If enough people complain, this company might just be investigated and mandates to fix up their billing processes come down from the state like a hammer.
