Willowbrook Place is a horrendous community. I had a family member there and visited very often as I did not feel comfortable leaving them alone there. They charge a small fortune and most family members have to hire and pay additional outside care staff to stay with their loved ones because the care is so bad. The turnover rate is extremely high which is awful for a memory care facility in which the residents so need consistency. The only thing that Willowbrook cares about is money, They abuse the residents and scream at them. Residents sleep in the hallways and are left unattended for hours. They sit in their food on filthy dining tables. The residents roam around the hallways opening electrical signs and outlets for hours with no care giver in site. They fall and no one is around. They are so understaffed that the caregivers call 911 for any assistance. The food is awful. Their Thanksgiving meal they made for their 60 residents and a few family members consisted of pressed rolled turkey breast. It was inedible, especially considering it was for a special holiday meal.

The director Jay is arrogant and uncaring and takes no interest in any of the residents. He does nothing when family members voice their concerns. He is not around and often takes off Fridays. He is not open to fixing anything and family members talk among themselves in frustration. Dealing with Lori, their office manager, is exhausting as she lies regularly. They had a decent activities director Cody, but he left. His replacement is Michael who does not take any interest in residents and is always distracted with some life drama. It seems to be a real chore for him to do his job as there are few activities with much simulation.

The whole place is filled with drama and a severe lack of interest in helping their residents live a life with real dignity. Willowbrook presents well and they give a good sales pitch but it all ends after you are a paying resident. What a shame to end up with such poor treatment in your golden years when you really need care. There is no compassion there and I am afraid they are going to end up on the news after some horrible neglect. Run, do not walk away. Don't think about putting anyone you love there.
