There was definitely a few errors in my stay but I have to give a fair review because the staff went out of their way to fix everything. First of all the location is beautiful and extremely relaxing. Its not overcrowded at all. You can always find a sun lounger on the beach and the pool and chill out areas are usually empty. I liked the efficiency of charging everything to the room. I will say I don't think the air-conditioning worked in my room. The ones in the hallway were blowing more than the one in my room so its something to look into. The only issues I had during my stay were with external services that the hotel partnered with. I organized a hot stone massage but as the people for massages and excursions are often not in their office even if it is within the timeframe so I had to book at hotel reception. Reception didn't understand that I wanted a hot stone after I mentioned it many times. 40 minutes into my 80 minutes massage the lady asked me to turn around without ever giving the stones. This was when I asked to stop the massage because it wasn't what I arranged. Also, I could not relax as it was not in a private area. Someone was getting their hair done right beside me so I was trying to relax to the noise of people talking and blowdrying hair. It was awful. They resolved the issue by having me receive the treatment I ordered the following evening with no noise from the salon. I had many issues with the excursion and transport company. Starting with my arrival. They did not greet me at the airport. I was very upset to have to call to find out where my transport was and they arrived 30 minutes late. I wanted to arrange boat excursions but it was very unorganized and they could never give me answers on which group tours were going on which days. I set up an appointment and when I arrived the lady was either not in the office, complaining about being busy, or asking me to come back later after we had an agreed meeting. I felt she thinks the guests are on her time which isn't right considering we are on holiday. You can't expect us to keep coming to your office all day to arrange excursions when we are there to have fun and enjoy the day on the beach. I did finally arrange one trip which was amazing (thanks to Fillipo) but even that was a disaster as far as logistics. They never wrote on the paper or told me the meeting point which he specifically directed the hotel to do. I was almost late for the boat and I was dropped of ten minutes walk away from where I needed to be when there was a drop off right near the dock. I arranged a pickup through the same company and to no surprise they were not there to pick me up. I stood on the side of the road for 40 minutes and had to make several phone calls to the agency about my ride. I was very upset as I had plans for that evening and did not have sufficient time to get ready. They offered me a discount on my next transfer which was very appreciated. Even on the last day I had a transfer to the airport with them and even though I booked it to be charged to the room they messed up the logistics again and decided I had to pay in cash without telling me. In the end I was able to charge it with my card but it was still very frustrating how unorganized their staff is. In the end I would stay at le ginestre again. Myself and the people I met all had an amazing time. It was a pity to be stressed out so many times by the parters of the hotel but overall it was a fantastic holiday so I cannot fault the owners for that especially since they did everything they could to resolve all of the issues that arose.
