I put a star because it is impossible to put 0! This site is an unspecified scam. I wanted to book a trip (flight, hotel, car) with them. I contact them by phone. I stay an hour with the operator. Arrived at the end of the conversation, she asks me my credit card number, until the nothing abnormal but that's where my ordeal begins.
First attempt at booking, the operator tells me that my payment is refused (I had made sure not to have reached my ceiling).
She tries a second time and again refused. She advises me to call my bank, which I do. My bank informs me that both requests have been accepted, even gives me the authorization numbers and explains that it is up to the merchant to accept or refuse the transaction.
I recall expedia who tells me again that the requests have been refused and that my bank is lying to me. I remind you that I have the two authorization numbers of my bank ...
After more than 6 calls and more than 3 hours on the phone, expedia tells me that in fact the money will not be debited but it is just pre-authorization. The problem is that there is 3900 per request and they have done two. So I am now stuck with my card that has largely reached its ceiling ...
I remember expedia who finds me the solution! I quote "you may have another card to book?" It does not unlock the first and ask me another!
In front of their incompetence and their lack of consideration, we go on Twitter and Facebook to intervene on their page and as if by magic, the customer service answers us but asks us to continue in private. What we do. After several exchanges, here is their answer. These are pre-authorization, the money will not be debited and everything will be back to normal within 72 hours.
As I am confident and have to book the trip for my children, I ask for an exceptional depletion of my card, which is accepted.
I do not pass obviously by expedia but I reserve via booking and the company live. Everything is going well until today. We are more than 72 hours after my first contact with expedia and not only the first two pre authorization have not been canceled but in addition these charlots have represented another 2544 ! and without my permission! So I'm stuck with my card again. The hotel where my children are trying to pick up but can not (ceiling exceeded due to expedia).
We contact them again on twitter. Their answer: they are pre-authorization, everything will be canceled tomorrow. Except that last time they said that and they took it again. When I make them notice, here is their answer: "if it happens it will be necessary to contact the financial service ..." Obviously, it would be too complicated to contact them now and to unblock the situation.
In front of so much bad faith, I decided to go on the spot at expedia France in the 9 th in Paris. I find myself in a lobby of several companies and when I ask to meet a manager of the company, the answer of security is: it is not possible, we can not call them, there is a procedure . You have to fill out a document and they will contact you within 72 hours ... I insist explaining that I have my card blocked but nothing to do.
The security person is sorry for me but can not do anything, this is the procedure that expedia has put in place. I ask him if it happens often that people come forward like me and the person did not answer but suggested to me that yes.
I have read reviews and apparently I am not the only one in this case.
Now I am waiting to see if they will unlock the pre authorization but in doubt that they still present, I will have to put my card in opposition.
That's how these expedia swindlers treat their customers.
If nothing is unblocked, I file a complaint for fraudulent use of my card.
