I purchased a room from your typical off the highway 3 star hotel. Everything I expected is what I received. Hotels in Grand Rapids can be expensive so having this as an option was great. You can quickly and inexpensively Uber anywhere you need to, but they also have a free shuttle for downtown. My bed was comfortable. My room was clean. The bathroom was a standard bathroom and everything I expected. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Honestly, having stayed at the JW Marriott two months prior, the staff at Grand River were far more helpful and I had far less issues. My expectations were different, but nonetheless. If you are looking for an inexpensive room and just want to know that you can easily get to it, it isn t completely off the beaten path, it is safe, clean and comfortable, you should book it. I d definitely stay again.
