I initially thought my experience with J Croyle & Associates was going to be just another interview, I unfortunately ended up learning more than what I'd care to know. I rarely write reviews, however, after taking a half day at work in order to make it to this interview as well as paying $27 in parking... I hope I'm able to prevent someone's time from being wasted, especially for those of us whose time is precious during the job hunting process. It's truly appalling how this company hasn't been shut down yet due to violating laws during their "interview" enforced by EEOC. I use quotations because they essentially mislead hopeful job candidates via job info they advertise on CL, CareerBuilder etc. I'm sure their employees are kind individuals but they have to know what they're doing is wrong. I was asked how many times I was in the hospital in the past, if I was married, what my husband did for work, how old my children were, how my credit was currently looking and I'm not quite sure how any of this information was relevant to them but there's most likely reasons behind it. I felt they devalued my work experience and education in order to offer me a CALL CENTER JOB because according to them, that is what I qualified for. No mention whatsoever of the job I was lead to believe I was interviewing for. When I tried to inquire further on how they came to that conclusion, I felt I was verbally manipulated and in a tone that sounded like she had said that many times before. I spoke to a gentleman who was interviewing as well & on our walk out of the building we compared our experiences. Turns out, multiple allegations were reported to the BBB & U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for their unethical employment practices and they're currently under investigation. It's a shame knowing honest people walk into this place of business on a daily basis under false impressions, only to leave feeling less than qualified. It would have saved the both of us time if they read my resume, made a decision on whether my qualifications matched the position, and moved on without contacting me like a normal employer.
