We are a family of four, with a 4-year old and a 7-year old. This is the second time I ve stayed at a JW Marriott and been completely impressed with their level of service. I don t know what they say or how they train their employees but it s working! There was not one rude or unhelpful person on the entire property. (Sadly, running into people like that is something that is not uncommon in the hotel industry..) On top of that, the resort grounds are meticulously maintained. The many pools and lazy river are pristine. As if they were just built yesterday.

The rooms were updated with modern decor. The website photos are a little outdated. (At least as of a couple months ago.) Even the tv in the room was impressive! Prob about 65 and has Bluetooth connection so you can use your own Netflix acct to watch shows/movies.

Food from room service was crazy good! However, food choices around the resort were limited. The exact same menu/food items were at the poolside outdoor grill as the indoor legit sports bar/restaurant, which was surprising to me. Didn t try Cibolo Moon. We did the Sunday brunch at 18 Oaks. AMAZING! They were out of oysters that day so that was the only disappointment. Overall, the quality of the food and service were superb but the choices were limited, given the price (~$50/person). We heard from our rideshare driver that local folks drive all the way out to the resort to have this brunch so it is something rather unique for this area.

The only thing I would request and would bring us back in a heartbeat (and Marriott, I hope you re reading!), is a kid s club during the day or at least more guided kid s activities on rainy days. On the one day it rained, I felt like all 285 kids at the resort were crawling out of their skin with boredom and there is only one tiny arcade room and a ping pong table.

Overall, this resort is one of the best we ve been to as a family!! We will def be going back the next time we re in TX.
