The Sands has seen better days. The only thing new in my room was the light fixture in the bathroom. There was an overall smell of old decay in the room. The towels are old, super scratchy and all have frayed threads hangimg from them. The bathtub clogged up so that by the end of my 5 minute shower I was standing in a tub full of water. The last tennant's little bar of soap was left by the cleaning person complete with hair of a certain variety. There was some sort of drip in the wall in the bathroom...grey in color. Throughout the casino the carpet looks like its the original carpet. The restaurants are dingy and desperately need updating. Only plus was the staff was friendly. Overall I was just disappointed. I wanted to stay at The Sands because it's iconic. But it was just sad.
