I use the Bellhop app and saw Carmel's price was 50% of Lyft or Uber so i decided to try them. These guys struggle to compete with the seamless experience of using Uber and Lyft. The app works... Sort of. It took 15 minutes and 3 phone calls to/from dispatch to find the driver. The car was a beat up minivan and the Chinese driver could speak no English at all. Wanted me to enter the address in his phone (which was only typing Mandarin characters). He was a decent driver but didn't use turn signals once in the hour drive from Manhattan to Connecticut. He also took a very long route, but as i couldn't communicate with him, i couldn't explain the proper route. When i tipped him 15% (for a less than impressive overall experience) he acted like I'd stolen from him. If i can save $50, I'll probably use them again but only if I'm not in a hurry! PS - I was offered $ to write a review, which i did not accept.
