The modern art on display at this museum was absolutely some of the greatest things I ve ever seen. I have never before appreciated art in such a way. There were moments where I was brought to tears, moments where I laughed, and moments where I just stood there trying to understand. Some of which I could not, but it was still a beautiful experience. However if I could convince the group I was with about how modern art is not just strange, then it would ve been perfect. Yes some people who would see a replication of a car from a fatal accident, or body parts set up in a crate, or CDs stuck to a wall with honey dripping down would be considered strange. But the art behind the pieces is everything. I only wish I had more time to understand every single piece. Also if you are in the military you get in for free!!! A member of our group got all 4 of us in for free. Also the gift shop has some really cool books and overpriced souvenirs, but what is a great gift shop with out that? Will definitely come again, but most likely by myself so I can appreciate the art in a different way. But YES make sure you visit if you re in the area!!!!
