I was there for 1 week. I had an allergic reaction to something, and instead of sending me to get doctor's help, I had to stay there for an extra 3 days. I did not feel like it helped with my suicidal tendencies, in fact I actually got worse. I never once tried to kill myself nor did I ever make a plan that is until I came back from the Ridge. The nurses were mean, and very few were nice. The doctors don't take their time to get to know their patients and just gives them pills to make everything better. I had a panic attack and instead of helping me calm down, they gave me a pill and sent me back to my room. They even got medicines mixed up and gave them to the wrong people. They gave a dosage that was meant for a 16 year old to a 10 year old, needless to say the child was sent away and I never heard from her again or saw her. this place was horrible. Screaming children all the time, nurses that seemed to hate their jobs, doctors that didn't care, it was the worst week of my life. I've avoided that place like it was the plague. the only good thing that came from it was I made friends who hated the place as much as I did, and the food was great.
