The was hoping to see some paranormal book stacking or recto-plastic residue but The foyer is so nice it almost makes you forget about the exterior view. Upon climbing the steps to the 3rd floor be sure to look up and see the ornate ceilings... absolutely amazing. Seeing the architectural and artistic detail throughout the structure really makes you appreciate the skill and patience of the 20th century designers. "They really don't make them like they use to" has a whole new meaning after this visit. The reading rooms are just as impressive. If I lived in CA I would be sure to make an effort to come here at least a few times a month. After this visit be sure to walk a couple blocks east to see Grand Central Terminal which was equally impressive
