We are so very fortunate to live in our beautiful Country, and have people like Rory, who work so hard getting us safely to and from the Heaphy Track. This involves hours of driving for Rory and his team. Due to COVID19 restrictions and DOC contacting me saying we had to change our hut bookings, Rory, with only a days notice, was able to accommodate our change in starting date. Rory and Janet suggested a safe place to leave our cars and we headed off on a +2hr journey to Brown Hut. We enjoyed chats with Rory over this pleasant journey. Rory then completes a +10hr return trip to collect us at the end of the track, near Karamera. This time we were two of 17 people in the shuttle for return to Nelson. What a fun ride, so many laughs with other like minded people. Thank you Rory (and Janet), for ALL your assistance in making our transport in and out of the Heaphy Track easy and without incident.
