I had knee reconstruction surgery and was in alot ...

I had knee reconstruction surgery and was in alot of pain the nurses kept saying they are waiting for the pain med. I waited over 30 minutes again and pushed the nurse call button and they came in and said the same thing. I waitied again for over 30 minutes and pushed the button, this time the nurse turned off the call button and i had to suffer with the pain for another 1 hour when my husband arrive. He saw the intense pain I was in an pushed the button and it was ignored, no nurse. He went to the nurses station and went off on them and then the nurses came and gave me my pain med along with nausea medication. By that time i was in such severe pain that I started vomitting violently.

I will never have surgery at Onslow Memorial Hospital, I think having surgery in a third world country, the staff probably would be more humane. The surgery went well, but the aftercare really sucked.
I don't know why I was so surprised by the staff, because back in 96' I had a stroke and the neurologist on duty at ER diagnosed me with a pinched nerve, gave me a shot, and sent me home. The next day I kept passing out and when my friend called the nurse at the ER and told her my symptom, which I told the neuro the night before, the nurse said bring you friend in now, she's having a stroke. Yes I had a stroke and the doctor at the ER handed me a lists of neurologist in jville and sent me home. No treatment, no meds, no aftercare instruction, just a list of neuro. Unbelievable, and sad.
