My wife is a driver here. I am a non-driving rider. I can't get a CDL. Long story. (Hey, for women drivers, it's a brave new world!)
We have been with Holland for about 2.5 years and it's been great. We're on our second truck. Only because the first one was called in once it hit 500k miles. This 2020 we got brand spankin new. It's got a fridge, no APU but a similar system that keeps the truck climate controlled without running the big engine.
I like how they treat my wife with respect. That's important to me. I'm not an employee, but they greet me as if I was. I feel welcome and at ease here.
The truck has all the creature comforts. Direct TV., Sirius XM radio, fridge, plus an inverter powerful enough to run it all, even the microwave. My wife has BCBS med insurance provided for free. Also dental and disability insurance at low cost.
Drivers can choose to be paid weekly or every 2 weeks. There is a 401kwith company contributions.
The trucks are freakin beautiful. Tractors and trailers are spectacularly well maintained. Dispatch sends loads and responds to driver requests promptly. Otherwise, they mind their business and trust drivers to be professionals and do their job. As it should be.
All around first class establishment. Not at all sorry to be here for the long haul.
