I went to Pretty s a few years ago and was very specific about my requirements. I simply wanted a solicitor to look over my redundancy offer letter and let me know if there were any red flags, obvious errors or omissions I should be aware of.
I fully understood this was not a free service and I would need to pay the current rate for consultation. I made it clear the redundancy was imminent and I had not been with the employer very long so any redundancy payment would be minimal. The solicitor was happy to help and we spent just over 40 minutes with her. At the meeting she did ask to take a copy of the letter in the event I did want to follow up with her to which I said there was no need as there would be no follow up as the redundancy was imminent.

I have used the services of numerous solicitors over many years and I fully expect to pay for any professional service. However I was totally misled by Pretty s and I would never use their services again
