The Getty Center is a great place to visit even if you do not know a great deal about art and paintings. They offer different kinds of free tours which are very informative and help you appreciate what you see. Each tour focusses on one of Getty Center's architecture, the gardens or the paintings and lasts 30-60 mins. Each tour is offered 3-4 times every day. You're given a handout that lists the schedule of the tours for the day. They have a cafe that provides several options and a more expensive restaurant. I loved how organized everything was and how committed they were to customer experience - it was a rainy day and lots of umbrellas were kept in stands for use by guests, there was a phone charging station for many types of phones that included lockers, disposal of used trays and plates at the cafe, and entry and exit from the tram were designed to be exceptionally hassle free.
