Love this observatory. Good spot to spend the weekend.

You can get a good view of the city from the top - so make sure you pack your binoculars when you go up there.

They have a free tour of the old Lick telescope that arranged by the staff at the gift shop inside. The tours are at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30 and 4:30 Thursday to Sunday. During the tour they take you up close to the telescope and have a story about it's history and also give you a chance to walk around the telescope. Then you can walk up to the Shane Observatory which is like a half a mile hike from here.

The road up to hills are windy and will be fun to drive up there.
