We had a good day out here. It is a place worth visiting with a long and fascinating history. It has plenty to offer visitors of all ages. The castle itself is quite a walk from the entrance but there is a land train if you'd rather use it. The grounds and gardens are beautifully kept and provide points of interest throughout the seasons. The entrance fee is quite expensive but allows for unlimited returns during the following year, so, it is good value if you live locally and can return regularly.
