In August 2014, we camped at Auenland for a good week. Our experience was certainly positive. The campsite is on a beautiful river where children can play (if the water is not too high) and where you can also go canoeing (if the water is high enough). There is also a lot to do in the immediate area. From hiking in the woods and hills to visiting various nice cities (Marburg is only 12 km away).

Facilities at the campsite are up to date and the hostess (the host was away during our vacation herself) is helpful and welcoming.

The campsite has camping spots that are very different from each other. Some are close together while others offer a lot of privacy. The camping sites right on the river are the most quiet. You won't hear the road (N62) there either. However, if you need electricity there, in most cases you will need to bring an extension cable (or borrow it from the campsite).
