We visited Archers Arena outside Toronto on our family vacation. We are a family of 4 with two teen boys. I called ahead and reserved a time, and they were willing to open early for us, which was awesome. It allowed us to get back downtown before the bad traffic.
First, we had our lesson. They are fiberglass bows with arrows about a long as your arm with rubber on the end that looks like a big marshmellow. This makes it so they don't hurt much when you get hit. During our lesson, he first taught us how NOT to dry launch an arrow. Then how to shot correctly. You also put on a hockey helmet so that your head it protected. I did get hit in the head twice and it was ok.
Then we played a game that was like dodgeball with arrows and then a few alterations. One with an engineer and one with a sniper. Both were great fun. The boys thought it was the best part of who vacation!! Thanks.
