My dog Mikey, a 9-year-old Rottweiler male, was getting a widening bulge under his tail. I was therefore referred by my vet to the Veterinary Referral Center. At 08:30 I called to make an appointment and to my surprise I could immediately go at 09:30. Mikey was examined by one of the specialists and it was found that Mikey had a 'Hernia perinealis'. In short, an anal fracture. The specialist suggested to operate immediately and explained exactly what this operation would entail. Mikey was therefore operated around 10:30 am. The operation was supposed to take two hours, but during the operation it was determined that this was a double fracture, so that the operation lasted four hours. After the operation, the specialist took time to explain exactly what he had done, and I could wait in peace with Mikey until he woke up again. I experienced the aftercare of this clinic as excellent. My questions about Mikey's recovery were answered promptly and comprehensively. Most importantly, Mikey has recovered well thanks to the expertise of the Referral Center. In a word great service !!
