We try to get on horseback whenever we travel and this was one of the most beautiful landscapes we've enjoyed thus far. We were at first dismayed to see how large the group was, but in the end we all agreed that it added to the experience - It was quite photogenic to see a line of riders against the vast, majestic backdrop of mountains, valleys, and meadows. The horses were great, too - well accustomed to the rocky trails and well chosen for each rider. Our guides were very knowledgeable and kept us safe and moving along at just the right pace. This is a great way to immerse yourself in the area, especially after all the driving that's required within YNP - highly recommended! The drive up to Hell's-A-Roarin' is in itself an enjoyable, scenic drive up the mountains that offers spectacular views.
