I went in to protest tax. The appraiser is not knowledgeable at all. I questioned why the assessment value is higher than my neighbor's and he told me it's because I have homestead exemption. I think he's being honest with me to tell the truth: the collin county want this much $$$ from your and this is how we adjust to reach that nunber.

These appraisers are trained for the purpose of getting your mouth shut and just pay higher tax every year. Then this appraiser supervisor came by and kicked me out saying "you two are not reaching an agreement, so you can go to the ARB panel to protest". Howecer, when I question him about the selection process of the ARB members, he became shocked and speechless. It matters if the ARB members are a group of appraisers who work for him or just civilians who have justice and fairness in heart.

Based on this supervisor'' response, he made me believe it's a group of appraisers or civilian who are related to him. He was so confident that the ARB will be on his side. So he told me that if I don't like the result with ARB then I should file for lawsuit.

If any of you still have constitution in mind, then please take a moment to file a complain on Collin county tax appraisal office and raise your concern to our representative and senator in Texas. This is a porblem bigger than it looks like. It's not only we the people's money. It is our citizen rights and human rights.
