5* hotel with NOT 5* service
5* hotel with NOT 5* service
Nice hotel, with big wonderful room, wardrobe , bath, shower. Very nice swimming pool. But staff does not know how to solve problems in 5 star hotel. We stayed in room 1028 (14-16 July), 15 of July our safe has been broken and we could not take our money. My husband called to front desk at about 2 pm, then we spent 2 hours in a room, because we were told somebody is coming to open broken safe. After 2.5 hours, my husband visited front desk again, seems like our request has been forgotten.... in 30 minutes eventually safe was fixed. But this is a bit strange, why we should spend 2.5 hours in the room and waiting for the person who will solve problem with hotel safe?... After a guy who fixed it told us, that theoretically this problem can back and if we are afraid of it, we can use safe at front desk. Seriously?! I should always use a lift to take/put my valuable items? Is it a 5* hotel service? Definitely not. Also very big disappointment was with Sky Bar. We chose Astoria, because we wanted to enjoy, 1 of our 2 evenings, there cocktails with a view on a night city. 14 of July they ere closed - private party, 15 of July they ere closed for private party, as well, but till 9 pm. In the letter from the manager in our room was indicated - Sky Bar will open for all guests since 10 pm. So, we arrived there at 10.30 pm, but party was go on and people at the front desk could not say anything to us. This is not very good manners - to promise / inform about something and do not keep your words. Not a 5* hotel. If I would be at Front desk, at least I would offer 2 cocktails to a room for free and/or free breakfast. But such things do only people who knows what is the 5* service. Will not recommend this place.
