I was on verge of having spine surgery a year ago for something that I didn t have any symptoms other than showing up on an MRI for some other problem unrelated. I was unsure of the Dr. at the time and decided to get a second opinion. I went with Dr. Coleman at Rush and he thought that it was something that could wait and we did. He did help me with my original issue and I feel good again. Fast forward 8 months, I just had my follow up with another MRI and appointment with Dr. Coleman and surgery is not in my future. What a relief! If I went with the 1st opinion I would have had a needless surgery and risked complications that were not worth it. Always get a second opinion! In fact, Midwest Orthopedics at Rush will be my 1st choice when it comes to any specialized orthopedic care.
