This is a good solid place to stay. Rooms are nice and look to be recently updated. I didn t see any of the common signs of wear and tear you spot in most hotel rooms.

This hotel is still top of my list for places in Waikiki for this price point, but a few complaints warrant the minus one star:
the bathroom (shower and toilet) is excessively small. You practically have to get in the tub to close the door.
the guest room doors are super loud when closing. One door on my floor (16th) is so forceful and loud it shook our room. Doors have automatic closets, but a few are just gnarly loud and shake the walls.
breakfast is your commonly average hotel breakfast. Nothing outstanding, but decent enough, especially for kids.
the coffee is Seattle s Best. A real shame because Hawaii literally has some of the best coffee in the world. Not sure why they would serve some mediocre Seattle s Best when they could be serving Kona coffee from the Hawaiian Coffee Company and keep it local.

Other than that, the place is nice, welcoming, and they don t get in your way. I liked the ability to text the hotel for any questions or needs that made it so easy. We also really enjoyed being able to borrow towels, chairs and beach toys from the front desk.

There is also a great, classic Hawaiian style breakfast place ion Lemon St behind the hotel. Highly recommend for the legit Hawaiian experience!
