Kelly M Review of Garden State Veterinary Specia...

To be honest, I was really nervous about going here because of the bad reviews. However, I m so relieved I did! My dog had non healing corneal ulcers which were not getting better after months and months of eye drops, ointments, etc. Eventually our vet recommended taking him to an ophthalmologist, and I settled on Garden State after our vet recommended them. For our first visit we waited around 10-15 minutes, which I spent walking my dog around their huge grassy property. Dr. Edelmann and the technicians were kind, didn t pressure us into getting anything unnecessary done, and explained the procedure our dog needed (diamond burr keratotomy) which they did that day. I was charged the initial amount I was quoted over the phone, about $500, which I was relieved about after others said they were charged absurd amounts that didn t make sense. I just took my dog back for his 3 week check up (which we waited less than 5 minutes for) and he s all healed! After being told during our first visit that he might need the procedure done again if it didn t heal properly, I was relieved that my pup finally had relief. Overall I had a great experience. All the charges were fair and broken down on the receipt (which also included a detailed breakdown of his issues, treatments, etc.) and quoted beforehand. I would recommend Dr. Edelmann to anyone who s dog is having eye issues!
