What an amazing time! The ride itself so so beautiful and our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the battle at Gettysburg. It was a very personal tour. Most tours give you headsets and try to tell you about the battle while riding and shouting directions at the horses while you are trying to hear the guide. Not this tour! They have it down to a science. You ride leisurely through the trails and you stop at specific locations where the guide will then give you some history and tell about the battle, no head phones. They talk to you directly. It is nice because you can ride without being distracted and when you stop at the sites you can really focus on the story of the battle. Aside from being knowledgeable, the guide and staff were so friendly and accommodating. I felt like family immediately. And the horses are so sweet, loving and well behaved. This is the horse guided tour to take if you go to Gettysburg or even if you just want to go for a nice trail ride you must book with them. It is an amazing experience. And best of all it is for a great cause. They rescue abused and neglected horses and nurse them back to health and give them a good home.
