I worked at JR Distribution for almost 6 months and it was honestly the worst six months of my life. Though the company do as they say, the work environment was appalling. The boss was intimidating and over critical, making me feel unvalued and afraid to be at work. They often played with sharp objects and made me feel scared and very on edge. I think it is awful that they offer apprenticeships as young people should not be exposed to that environment. My career did not excel in the slightest, in fact I have now been put off working in the manufacturing industry for good. The office is tiny and very cramped, only just fitting two desks. The whole workplace was also cold and dark, as it's a warehouse. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is a people person as the boss is very closed minded about a lot of modern topics. In conclusion, it was an awful 6 months and a waste of time. Will not be recommending to anyone.
