I went there previously on my mini moon and it was my first time there with my husband.. I roughly glanced through and many people has positive and great reviews for this place. I have given it a 4 star is because I feel there are both plus and minus about my experience there.. Firstly the plus... They use cotton coaster! Which doubles up as a cloth, very innovative. The Indonesian vegetarian fried rice that has no onion and garlic or chives is really very well done.. Their mock tails tasted really great as well..
The minus is that, the first staff who upon after serving us... Saw that we had accidentally spilt our drink while trying to take a photo of our drink, how it spilt was cuz the friction from the coaster and the surface of the table is kind of tight and surface of table was a bit uneven cuz it was the table seats.. Which cause the glass to topple and spill, we spill 85% of it. Left 15%. So we didn't manage to try or take a photo and this tragedy happened. So the staff who served us actually saw it but he walk away... Maybe he didn't know what to do, maybe he is finding help from someone else to handle our situation.. So the manager came over after that to serve us our mains, she said that the spill was not caused by them, hence no compensation. I was honestly quite shocked. Cuz is a $$$ beach club,with a very good reputation, I thought a sgd 7 drink will definitely be offered some kind of make up by the staff as part of their staff empowerment... So I raised my hand to ask to speak to the manager, so the same lady who told us is not caused by them, in the end when I asked her about the reason why no staff empowerment, she said "oh the manager is busy" ... But end up still served us a new drink. Is like a plus that I got a new drink in the end after asking, imagine if I have not asked cuz my husband actually didn't want to pursue the matter . But as a $$$ restaurant, it will have made my experience wayyy better if I don't need to ask why is it handled like that. Maybe mine is a one off experience... But ya it still does influence on whether is it worth to go back again on the second time.. Should I still give it a second chance... Kind of thing...ya dear readers I really hope you get what i mean if you happen to see this review..and dear restaurant I am sorry i left a half bad half good review,thanks for the plus experience that I experienced though!!
