Yesterday I visited Hagia Sophia when it was functioning as a mosque, and I was pretty disappointed as most parts of the building were closed to visitors. There is only accessible place and it's just a space for prayer. All mosaics were covered , although prayer time was over. Honestly I was lucky to visit Hagia Sophia several times before, when it was a museum. I love this incredible place, but after yesterday experience I prefer HS to remain a museum. It's better to pay a museum fee with access to all historically important parts of the building, than just spend time waiting for entrance for nothing.
