As an intermediate skier, I appreciated these slopes on my first day after a year off. For skiing, this is a good day one location. After day one, you ll probably want something more challenging. I was lucky to ski during the week after a big dump of light, powdery snow. The restaurants, though pricey as usual, have food that is so worth the money. Try the briscuit. Also, while skiing, find the tiny phlox point cabin, a former Boy Scouts warming shed, for tacos. It s a bit tricky to get to (it s under the pucci lift) but a nice place to take a break in the middle of the day.
