I was new to the Austin area and did not have any direct connections or references in this area. I actively searched for a position for over 3 months. I noticed a trend of positions I was applying for being associated with The HT Group so I knew they had sufficient volume of opportunity and their reviews were very positive so I took the plunge and went to interview, simply to have the extra help with my search.
