Review of Balmoral Hotel

Location: located right in front of Edinburgh train station, Caton Hill and Edinburgh monument. Also, it is very close by Edinburgh High Street so convenient for shopping as well.

We booked the hotel via Amex Fine Hotel and Resort. On our arrival, we were upgraded to a superior bed room from a stand room we booked. We asked for a castel view room, but it was not available.

The room was a standard size room with a high street (Apple store) view. I can imagine the basic standard room is a very small size.

The service level was top notch and we were very satisfied with our stay here. The only disappointments were extra charges for breakfast at checkout and missing notification of the $credit we received from Amex deal at Palm Court Afternoon Tea.

We stayed at Waldorf Astoria and The Balmoral during our stays in Edinburgh. Both are worth visits and I recommend them
