Bunch of Crooks!!! Worst experience ever!!! I had a problem with my AC unit on the upstairs floor of my house and called Gold Medal Service to take a look at it. I found the reviews online here on google were mostly positive but their was one review forwarning everyone that many of these reviews were false and that they overcharge people. The service man who came over was nice enough and looked at the unit. He went to the truck to give me a quote on a capacitor. While he did that I decided to do some research on the web on my phone to see how much the average cost to change a capacitor which came out to $150 at the most. He came back to me and quoted me a price of $700!!! I quickly told him that was way off the price that I researched and he asked what was I expecting to pay. He then stated that I would never ever find anyone to do it for that price in NJ. He then offered to call his boss to see if we can do a "deal". The price quickly dropped from $700 to $450 but I had to join some gold medal club. I did not want to here anything else from this guy and gave the $80 they ask for just to come to your house. The next day I called my regular AC guy and he charged my $150 for the work. NEVER AGAIN will I ever call GOLD MEDAL
