This evening, we had a reservation at 6:45pm. I was running late so I did what any thoughtful client would do and called in a courtesy call; and mentioned that I would be a few minutes behind. Upon arrival, I was told that we were out of the reservation grace period due to the fact that our whole party wasn't able to check. However, over the phone I was given different information. Due to the grace period being over we had to sit at the bar. The way the entire situation was handled was extremely baffling and a very negative impression on our entire meal. Emma truly did not have a good attitude about the situation and made me feel unwelcome. I refuse to come back just because of Emma as she attempted to make me feel unconditionally stupid with her unnecessary remarks. Although I went to Cornell, the level of stupidity on which Emma attempted to put on us was as if I went to Devry. I'm truly appalled. The overall experience of my meal was ruined due to Emma's negative impression on and my guest. On a lighter more positive note the food was outstanding. The service which we received from David, the bartender, was top notch. As an individual in the field of hospitality, I would refrain from hiring employees such as Emma as they would hurt a restaurant let alone any hospitality establishment by turning away clients. Thank you David for an amazing meal. Thank you Emma for completely making me want to never come back.
