Horrible corporation to rent from. They make very little effort to communicate effectively with their tenants, require 60 days notice, and make little to no effort to re-rent apartments if you move out early. We always paid our rent on time. When we moved into a new place, we wanted to do it before it got too cold (October), and gave them 30 days notice. They informed us that we would have to pay for the month that we didn't live in the apartment. In an effort to help them re-rent, I sent them several applicants who had reached out to me interested in the place. They sent us a letter with what we would owe them for the month we wouldn't live there, and said that they would pro-rate (return a portion of the money we paid) the amount when they re-rented it. We sent a check which they didn't cash for over two weeks. In those two weeks our bank account had been compromised and we had to close the account. They contacted us (after not re-renting the apartment despite the four weeks that had gone by since we moved out) threatening to send us to collection. They also said that if we ever wanted to rent from them again that this would be a bad mark on our record. They don't have to worry though since we will never be renting from them again.
