Leeds General Infirmary Boots Chemist on this LGI Site is appalling.

I collected a private prescription from the Hospital Gum clinic a Post protection PEP drug at their assigned Boots Chemist onsite to prevent HIV that I may or may not been in accidental contact with that was highly sensitive and private information one might think and went to collect it at this Boots Chemist at the LGI Hospital.

On heading for the Door at this Chemist the Chemist Mrs Wong turned to the lady who stocked the shelves and in front of what may of been other customers with a look of distaste on her face. Who said "What's it for" ? ... The Chemist loud enough for me to hear said "Its For HIV!"....

This is a Complete Breach of my Confidentiality, a Breach of Patient confidentiality, The Sale of Goods act, and my Right to Privacy under the Human Rights act. Indeed any professional business standards. Etc !

After contact with Boots chemist head office and indifferently contacted by the area manager for this Hospital chemist Nothing has been done to reassure me and any other of Our Protection and Respect and dignity for patient privacy.

Indeed Nothing came of it, certainly No further contact...absolute disregard for my privacy and self respect. The PALS dept for this site have Ignored the complaint as have the Gum Clinic who sent me to this Chemist with their prescription.

So if Your a Patient or potential future patient of the Gum Clinic at LGI and asked to go to this Boots Chemist on site be aware Your Privacy is NOT safeguarded, Your Private medical records for Prescriptions may be a part of Gossip and Belittlement in the public domain etc etc etc !
