I BOUGHT a 1-night stay through a silent auction. Called to book with 20 hours before my intended check-in, and the hotel has several rooms available. The general manager will not honor the certificate because they THINK they could be busy. What am I supposed to do? Show up at check-in time hoping there is a last minute room? Ridiculous.

The certificate says "Value: $200." Total BS. If it was worth $200 then I wouldn't have to beg.

As far as the actual accommodations, they are generic. Not bad, not amazing. The standard room is noticeably small. If you check out on Sunday be prepared to wait over 40 minutes to have them get your car from the parking garage.
