I will not be reserving any more events through the county parks. Everything went well with reserving my venue and holding the date. The on site crew was really nice. However, after my event, it took two and a half weeks to get my security deposit back. First it was waiting for the park manager to report the site as okay. Then it was that the supervisor for the office had to approve. After that it was because they can't transfer over the weekend, even though it was their fault it had to carry over into the weekend in the first place. Even then they told me to expect it on a Friday, a full week after they supposedly sent the transfer and a two and a half weeks after the event. I'm assuming they didn't do it until I called that time.(the beginning of the second week after the event) At the time I'm writing this, I still have not received my deposit. I'm expecting there to be another excuse on Friday. The on site crew was great, but it's not worth the hassle of trying to get my security deposit back even when I left the site as I found it.
