So it's been awhile since I've attended this club and I came for the Duke Dumont set. I purchased a VIP ticket which included my entrance, access to all floors, 3 premium cocktails and unlimited water and red bulls until 2 a.m. which I figured was a good deal. When I arrived the first room near the entrance was cool, we grabbed our drinks and water there. When we went to the main floor the bartenders would not give us water and said we had to go to upstairs VIP to get water which was weird considering the first room served us.
We get upstairs and they seriously sold so many VIP entrances it definitely did not feel like VIP. it was cramped like the GA floor, we were getting yelled at by security to clear a walk way when we were waiting for drinks and nowhere else to stand. We got to hang in a booth for a min until someone bought it and when it was purchased, this older lady came in and yelled at us saying "you guys need to get out now! C'mon, let's go, right now" and my friend was looking for her jacket and as she was looking this rude older woman yelled at her and said "you need to go!"even after my friend said she was leaving but was just looking for her jacket, and the older woman said "I dont care this booth had hern sold!" I told her she didnt need to be so rude that we're not stalling, we're collecting our stuff and if she'd be more helpful I stead of being rude she could shine a light and help the process. She looked tired, over worked and miserable so maybe she took it out on us. Anyway I was disappointed on how crowded they allowed the VIP area to be considering I paid over 100 bucks for my wristband. Which i would never do for a downtown night club. I couldn't even really see Duke dumont , of course i enjoyed his music but i think VIP experiences should be for people who are genuinely there for the artist and the want to enjoy the experience, but this place is clearly money hungry cause they waaaayyy over packed the place. We eventually found our way to Tue 4th floor and it was much more pleasant. But I really doubt I will come here again for another big headliner. Glad I got to hear Duke Dumont though.
