This afternoon asked for information about moving a KPN telephone connection. Now the connection comes from the outside to the wrong place. KPN cannot now place the modem in the living room where all network cables are located. Drilling a hole through the inner wall and nailing it along the plinth is not an option for us. Another option is to disconnect from the road and bring it back in about 5 meters further. I would have to pay for this myself.
Just searched the internet and contacted Bright Access to get an idea of what it will cost.
What I did not think was that I was talking to an extremely friendly lady on the phone, who spoke to me so well and pointed out that this is actually a matter for KPN and that KPN should deliver this. She pointed out that I should be careful to have confirmation that KPN would bear those costs. This lady also indicated that KPN is busy with fiber optics and that the copper work is being removed, where fiber is being installed. As a good advice she says that I might have to figure that out first and if so then I should indicate that I should have it brought back to the new place immediately.
All in all, I had a friendly and valuable conversation that made me very happy, because I was still very angry, because KPN was unable to do anything at my house at the moment. Hopefully it will still be fine and otherwise I will have to continue looking for another provider ..... too bad, but Bright Access made my day completely good. Thank you.
