I came here at 8:30 on a Tuesday evening. The doctor(s) both spoke to me about what the plan was going to be at around_11 PM. I was very sick and was throwing up several times..however, it took 4 or 5 before I got a Zofran injection. My husband was assured that I would be admitted and monitored-so he left so he could get a good night's sleep. I was in the ER room for 4 hours..no O2 sat and no air coming out of the cannula. So I punched the nurses button 6 times..I was answered once, but my nurse stuck his head in my room and said what do you need I have another's person meds right now. I wasn't even aware that he had been notified I pushed the button, I THOUGHT IT WAS BROKEN BECAUSE NOONE RESPONDED!! Then the really bad news..I'm not really going to be admitted. I'm placed in a room really close to the ER room I had been in since 8:30!! The bed is possibly the most uncomfortable beds I've ever been in (the kind that thinks it knows where you want the air so it fills in holes and makes new ones about every 10 seconds) I really hope someone that looks into this is someone that takes it seriously. I am not an unreasonable person, yet here I lay 6 hours later in a terrible position and no advocate. My name is Louise Holt and I really pray that the people who took "care of me tonight" never have to endure this.
