American Risk Insurance is the worst I have dealt with while going through a claim process. In North Texas, we had a really bad hailstorm (March 2016) and I had several properties that sustained hail damage. I dealt with other insurance co. like Imperial, ASI, and Centauri besides American Risk Insurance. American Risk took the longest to respond. When I didn't hear from them, I called them back. The desk adjuster, Chad Pleasant was so rude, he basically told me that if I don't bother him by calling, he would have more time to work on claims. Mind you, I had only called once, and that too, when I initially made the claim, I was told to call back if I didn't hear in 2 weeks.
After the roof was replaced, the contractor suspected there could be some leak inside and recommended I call the insurance to have an interior inspection, to make sure. 10 days after I left a V-mail with Mr. Pleasant called me back and started out in his rude manner. I decided I wouldn't talk to him and asked for his boss. I left Larry Simmons, Mr. Pleasant's boss, a voice mail and heard back after another 10 days. Barely seconds into that conversation, it was evident to me that Chad Pleasant's behavior was not an isolated case. It felt to me that this is their company culture.
I would advise anyone to stay away from this insurance company.
